I was just wondering if anyone had an estimate for how many Sebenzas have been made? Sorry if this question has already been asked. But I think it's an interesting question as CRK is always back ordered for quite some time. Thanks in advance :)

Not enough......

As proof I only have two (Large Insingo and a 25) and could certainly find space to several more :D

I have also wondered this myself. I would imagine that not too many exist though. Since they are relatively exclusive knives and all.

I have at least 1, that's a start, everybody else that has one or more just add it to my 1 and we'll get a count going... ;)

If we could figure out what they produce a year, im sure a good estimate would be easy. I wouldnt even begin to know how many they make lol

Add in another 4
Funny I was thinking on this line also-wondering what the production per year was now. I

Doing a quick search the Idaho Chamber of Commerce says that CRK has an annual sales volume of $10M to $20M, so at around $300 or so per knife (dealer price) that's around 30000 knives per year, which seems quite high to me.

However, that is for all the different knives they make. I bet around 60% of the knives they sell are Sebenza so ~18,000 Sebenzas per year? I don't think that actually sounds too unreasonable.

The special order knives, knives with inlays or graphics and load Lisa's picks cost substantially more so if you take out the plain Jane's I'm sure that # seems more plausible.

I'm not sure if it was in a note from CRK or somewhere here, but I remember the current production being around 1800 - 2000 per year. If they had half that the first 10 years (1992-2002) and 2000 soft the next 11 years to 2013 then --- 10x1000 + 11x2000 = 32,000.

I'll dig around and see if I can find the message.

Heh. The problem is not that there are "not enough" knives. I'm sure there are plenty and I have 3, the problem is not enough money in the various buyers' pockets. ;)
