How Many Times a Day Do You "DO IT"

Excluding meals and food prep, on average, how many times a day do you use your EDC (EDC's for some of us ;) ). I'd say I use mine 3 to 6 times a day.
 
Not at all most days. Maybe twice a month. There just aren't that many things that need cutting... yet to find a single need this week.

So far today I've used my EDC once to open a package at work...
Noticed the clip screws could use a snuggin' - got out the EDC multi-tool (Leatherman Squirt P4) tightened the screws - cleaned a couple fingernails -

So, three times so far and the mail will probably get opened with it when I get home.

On average I'd say 3 to 6 as well.
 
I find reasons to use my tools. I don't know what my average would be, but it would probably be higher than the forum average. My EDC tools include a SureFire (flashlight), and if that counts then my number would be retardedly high.
 
Usually 4 times minimum.
Mail,
Chopping Parrot food
Twice chopping feed for the fish farm.
Then you have boxes, spawning ropes, chemical containers shade cloth, bird netting and other stuff on different days...
Automotive/tractor/boat hoses...opening oil cans..
I'm hell on a knife. :cool:

Then there are the " tactical times" plunging it in and out of terrorists :D

Probably about 3-4 times on an average day. Although yesterday we started a fire in my friends backyard and cooked some food over it and we happened to "forget" kitchen knives and "forgot" to turn on his backyard lights so we have toused our knives to make kindling, cut food and covertly deanimate ninja's along with my A2 to light everything up :-) .
 
I must be an exception. I use my EDC knives at least 2 dozen times a day- opening boxes, packages ect; and using the marlinspike on my Boye folder to remove paper staples and box staples (does it better than any staple remover I have seen). Then I get home.......
 
Three to six times a day sounds about average for me.

Today, I've used my EDC to:
  • Cut a loose thread off my sweater.
  • Open bags of sunflower seeds and peanuts to feed the birds and squirrels in my backyard.
  • Remove the tags from some socks I bought.
 
Probably 3 times a day for very brief tasks. I'm more of a bring it just in case guy than a I actually genuinely will definitely need a knife today guy.

For me it's 'coons and rats found out in the barn. The 'coons are generally during apple season, but there's a year 'round supply of rats.
 
Many times a day. At my job I open countless packages, slice up bubble wrap and other materials while packaging stuff myself, and break down at least a dozen boxes a day for recycling.
 
If it's a day I'm working a a car, and each time I use it on the car counts as one, then probably 30-50 times a day. If I'm not working on a car, I'd say 5-15 times would be average. And probably a good third of those uses are for things that most people here would never use their EDC for.
 
6, 3047 a day. ;)

(Actually use it about 3-6 times.)
 
Sak: 4-8 times a day, large folder du joir(of the day): 1-4 times a day, offside native: maybe once a month, leatherman juice pro: 1-3 times a week, colibri quantum lighter:1-3 times a week.

Sak=tinker, or hiker

Large folder du joir (of the day)=manix, rat-1, endura, boa, native, delica, cold steel ultimate hunter, raven, or crossbill (rarely due to public bad reaction to blade shape) in no particular order unless I happen to be going somewhere where I know one will be better suited than the others.

Leatherman juice pro-self explanatory

colibri quantum lighter-also self explanatory, I don't smoke, but fire comes in handy to burn nylon, or light a torch.
