I work in an office and I use my EDC once or twice a week. But "once or twice a week" wasn't an option in this poll, so I chose "once or twice a day" instead. Mostly I use the scissors in my Micra for light cutting tasks and a pair of ordinary office shears for heavier cutting tasks. No use tearing up an expensive EDC when my company-provided Fiskars work just fine. My office is directly across from a kitchen that has some nice, dull, serrated steak knives sitting in a drawer. They're absolute perfect for cutting up the corporate office's bimonthly birthday cakes. So when you come right down to it, I don't really need an EDC at all. It's there primarily to keep my LFP warm. ;) :D

I work in a manufacturing facility, so my knives see plenty of cutting. However, something's around the shop I'll grab my box cutter to cut to save my blade.

I'm a service tech so I use my knife a lot of cut open packages, hoses, strip wire, etc... Problem is I usually end up with a chipped up or dulled knife at the end of the day. So AUS 8 or 1095 is my preferred steel for a work knife

Being a chef has its perks, getting to play with knives and fire. What more could you ask for? If my EDC isnt in my hand there is a larger Shun :D

I work in a kitchen, so it's upward of a hundred I'm sure. When I'm not at work it's probably less than 10 times a day.

Always use it to open my mail, any UPS or FEDEX package, sometimes a plastic blister package. A few nights ago, I used my little Sardinian resolza to clean some fresh sardines to put on the grill. The pointy little blade made a great gut ting knife. So once in a while I get inventive to use my edc.

Well... thousands of times a day, of course. :D We are in a knife forum, ya know. Honestly, about five times a day on average.

Did you use a regular folding knife for that? I used to work for a carpet installation company and I can imagine it'd dull pretty fast.

I remove carpet a fair amount from houses and at beginning used a folder knife. Blade dulled way too fast and went to a serrated blade on a utility knife. But, yes, messing with carpet, you might do a lot of cutting on a daily basis.
