How many WSK users we have?

Just wondering how many WSK users we have here that actually use them all the time. (Beck, Tracker, RS6) I know I use my RS6 Predator a lot in the woods but also carry a smaller blade. Was it just a fad knife from the movie "The Hunted" or do others actually use it?

I think MORAS are a fad...for poor people. :D:D JUST KIDDING. (I love moras)

I use my Custom Tracker from time to time...but the concept of one knife, all the time doesnt apply for me.....I just have to many damn knives to only use one. I have the hardest time the night before a hike trying to decide which knife is coming with me....hey, I love collecting knives just as much as I love going out in the woods.

I don't see where anyone said anything about just using one knife. I've seen this design denounced quite a bit, but I do hear from some people who are interested in it and/or use it. Personally, I wouldn't want anyone thinking I lacked so much skill that I would talk smack about a design without trying it first. I plan on using mine as a camp knife.
BTW, I love gunknifenut's Mora comment (even though I'm poor, I do hate Moras).

Handled one at a gun show last weekend. I don't have to use it to understand that there are too many tools in one knife. So many that it gets to be a little overkill for my taste. There is not much left that you can do to improve a knife that has already been done except for better steel and handle material, but the basic design will stay the same. The idea of using one knife is just the basis for the WSK design.

If this design was bought or kept for the one and only, the knife seems very limited by intent. I do think that most of the WSKs look awful busy, that's why I ended up ordering Brian Goode's version.

I have a couple of these blades being used right now. I have had good reviews from the owners:thumbup: I do have one with a more trailsman / non rounded butt that will be at the blade show in Atlanta this JUne. I have a Becks that I do use from time to time, but I find the full flat grind more user friendly in the field. I hope to make myself one one of these days :)

I've used my Koster "No Frills" WSK… but mine doesn't have a sawback or a division between the draw blade and the main edge. The sawback in particular doesn't make much sense to me.

The Koster is good and sturdy, and versatile.
