How much better are Strider Folders over Spyderco?

I don't know that better is the right term, more burlly maybe, but not necessarily better.

In the end, they are both sweet, and you really can't go wrong with either of them.

I think people do underestimate the ergo's on the Striders too. The only one I have is the SnG, but it fits my hand better than any other knife I have. Just looking at pictures of it, I'd of probably told to that you were crazy if you told me that the SnG handle was better than my Paramilitary, but it really is.

Both great knives. Hands down, the bang-for-your-buck award goes to Spyderco, but Striders are great knives even if you are spending so much more. The Striders are made with more titanium which is great, but it is not going to make it a much better knife for what it intended to be used for.
But you only live once. Which knife will put a larger smile on your face?

Impact side of the house:
Lock open your Strider and throw it at a cured piece of hard wood (I did it with a Strider PT) - not real hard - about one rotation, tip went in, but the impact shut the knife twice.

Very interesting observation indeed! I just thought about resent discuusion on Strider's framelock…

Here's the answer that probably best answers this question (I am so modest!)
A tough Spyderco - ie Manix, Chinook can and will handle prying.
Striders are expected to pry, and will be guaranteed if you mess it up.
