How much do you spend per month on knives?

At least, not anymore -- the days of buying a new knife every 30 days or so have passed.








Mostly because now I go to shows like Blade and SECKS and spend more in one day than I used to spend all year.

Wow, thats a question I really didn't want to know the anwer to. Looks like I'm at about 150/month average, though.

I kept a log in excel. I have spent about $2700 in the last year on 9 items. So thats about $300 per knife, on average.

The reason I broke it down to a month-by-month average was to kind of measure it against my paycheck to see how much of each paycheck was going toward my hobbies/obsessions. I wanted to make sure that I wasn't spending more than I was bringing in. I haven't bought a new knife in the past couple of months so it's not like I really was spending every month.

Hey, Murnax, you can always give up that Dobruski order . Actually, it won't make much difference to me since your order follows mine, but still...

I know I am feeling a little better about my spending now that I've seen what the rest of you bastids are spending......maybe I should reward myself with a new knife .

Spent a lot until I finally worked up to 4 differenet Chris Reeve folders. I've not bought any knives recently -- just don't feel the need to acquire any more. For some reason(s) I really can't articulate, I'm just not interested in custom knives.

I averaged $87 a month. Pretty good for a college student. That just tells me that I'm not spending enough on beer
