How much do you weigh?

Just kidding! How much does your EDC weigh? Do you have a limit on what you prefer?

2 pounds less after my bowl of Fiber One this morning. Allowed me to carry something a little heavier today.

The lightest knife in my rotation is a Protech Half-Breed at 2 oz, the heaviest is an Emerson CQC-8 at 6 oz. Most of the rotation falls closer to the higher end of that range. I don't pay much attention to knife weight when I purchase them, though I don't think I'd carry a single knife over 9 oz on a daily basis. I don't carry a lot of stuff (just wallet, keys, phone, knife) and my job is not especially active, so weight is not a big deal to me.

All of my folder's that I'll carry are under 5oz.
Heaviest folder I carry is a Large Regular(or micarta) Sebenza.

I carry a lot of stuff, and have fun trying to maximize the utility and minimize the weight of everything I carry. That means that I have a 0.87 ounce Opinel No. 6 in my pocket right now. I'm not averse to carrying a big honker that weighs 8 ounces when the feeling hits me, but I usually go for small and light while retaining adequate functionality.

Lightest-Delica 4
Heaviest-Ontario Rat 1/Kershaw Emerson CQC-6K, both 5 oz

I don't mind 5 oz at all but I don't really want or need to go any heavier.

Spyderco Military is as heavy as I'll go and I'm thinking about switching out for a delica. I just have to get over my aversion to FRN. :D

4oz or less, usually. Push that a bit if I'm working in the yard, I'll carry something beefier then (historically, mostly a Benchmade 710, lately my lovable beater ZT 0801).

however much my sak weighs... honestly nothing more that 4 oz seems comfortable to pocket to me. mind I do carry heavier knives for entertainment sometimes..

Yep. I'll pop up over 4 ounces if the knife warrants it. For example, the Spyderco Southard, a knife with which I believe you have a passing familiarity, weighs 4.1 ounces. ;) (By the way, with a Juma scale and the clip removed, I've got that bad boy down to 3.7 ounces. I just can't imagine packing more knife into 3.7 ounces than that Southard! :D )

The heaviest knife I'm willing to carry is a Gedraitis Medium Puffin. It weighs 4.5 ounces.

Weight rarely bothers me, as I carry a pretty heavy phone, some stuff on my keys, and other random stuff. So what's another few ounces. But I'd actually say my heaviest edc is my GEC Ben Hogan 65. Can't tell much of a difference between it and my others though.

To paraphrase the inimitable May West, is that an XL Espada in your pocket or are you just happy to see me? ;)

Could cause some confusion, don't you think? :D

That reminds me of a story about Tom Jones, a salami, and some bandage wrap. But I don't want this thread ending up in W&C, so I'll leave it right there.

How it carries in my pocket is much more important to me than weight. If its light and carries nicely then its a bonus I guess (Sage 2 for example).

I will be bothered more by a light knife riding in my pocket weird than a heavy folder that doesn't.

Alot.:D I don't think i have any really lightweight knives. Except CS HoldOut 3 is thin, small, and light. Knives i EDC most are Benchmade 275 810 585(none light), DPX Hest(not light), Holdout 1,2 or 3. Coldsteel's are my lightest carry or BK24 but Becker takes up space. This has been my EDC for at least a week. OVERKILL.:) Weight doens't affect me much and have big pockets so can fit alot in there so neither is a problem for me.
