How much do you weigh?

Lightest would be my Kershaw Skyline, heaviest is my Benchmade Adamas. Though the one I usually carry is my ZT 0561 with is around 5.5oz. For me, it's more about how it carries in the pocket then the weight. I do have a limit but I'll carry a heavy knife that sits in the pocket well before a lighter knife that doesn't. If that makes sense.

ZT 0561, Vallotton, Gayle Bradley are my heavier EDC's. Using a pocket clip with tight jeans I never notice the weight. I have a ZT 0200 and haven't noticed the weight with it either but I do notice its bulk.

When will you change?

Well, being 6'4" 265lbs, I carry whatever the hell I want.

While I agree that the metric system makes more sense, foreigners pushing me to be more like them makes me only want to stick with what I have.

On a related note, I've worked manufacturing in automotive and aerospace. US automakers have pretty much all switched to metric. Aerospace still uses imperial, even some European manufacturers.

I am going to guess that this is the attitude of most of us (Americans). Logically, the metric system makes sense but I am not going to use it just because I don't want to.

The heaviest knife I carry is approximately 5.4 ounces (XM-18). Besides my Alox Farmer, it is the only knife I carry (wharnie or slicer).

I try to use both, whichever can give a better idea of the scale I'm talking about.

under 3 oz I'd rather use grams. For example:
Kershaw Leek (EDC) is 85.53 grams = 3.017 oz
S&W CK105H (Beater) is 78.21 grams = 2.759 oz

Being a science nerd, grams gives me a much better idea when comparing the two weights.

My benchmade 940-1 is 2.4 ounces i think and thats all i carry recently. That is a lot of knife for 2.4 ounces.

I've been carrying an 0801 around for a while now. That's 5-ish if I remember correctly. I don't really mind weight.

I generally carry folders in the 5.0-6.0oz range.

I choose to maintain a high level of fitness and low bodyfat instead of freaking out over tenths of an ounce of blade weight.

The only time i have ever had a problem with weight in my EDC was after i got my CCW. You could not pay me enough to carry anything heavier then my Kahr on daily basis....

Knives on the other hand, as long as they are designed correctly I can't tell the difference in the pocket form a 6oz emerson to a 3 oz endura

I am the same way..

Most of us were taught the Metric system in grade school and know it fairly well.

No idea. Nope, no limit. Got sturdy pockets and I carry what I want. Don't really notice much difference. It's just a knife! Not like I'm waking around with a brick in my pocket.
