Yes there is. Blame any country that rips you off and pockets your money they already taxed, when you buy something. If I order something from Europe, I do not have to pay any fees or taxes.

Yeah.. I never get the taxes in some places.

in NZ we must pay 12.5% Goods and Service tax on everything. if I order from USA I pay USD$ + shipping then 12.5% on the NZ$ value when it gets here.

But in saying that.. when I sell overseas, I dont have to charge GST, so people ordering from NZ get everything 1/9th cheaper than a NZ'er can buy it for. Not sure how tax in the US States works, but I dont get a discount from retailers in USA when I order.. I assume they pocket the tax as profit (or maybe there is no tax on the sale?? )

As to selling the SAR8 for double.. Good on them.. Lets face it.. whenever I see a BattleMistress for more than the ORiginal $350USD etc I think its insane too.. i mean some people have them for $700+.. that sounds like extortion too.. but its not.. its a buyers market..

Dont get angry.. just dont buy it.. Busse doesn't need anyone defending their pricing or profit margins.. I'm sure that they are doing just fine.. Lets face it.. while not the most expensive, they are also not the cheapest.

If they're like me, it's because they got into the game recently, and if you want a specific model, you pay what the market is asking.

If anything, the inflated secondary market prices probably increase Jerry's and Skunk's sales once people figure out they are much cheaper from the source.

Plus, once they are no longer in production, they are collector's items with a limited supply in the world. Once something is a collector's item, the collectors pay what they have to to get them.
