A weekend, or a week of camping is the same amount of weight: 30lbs +/- 5lbs. This is 3 season backpacking in the Sierras, with conventional civilian gear.
My last trekking gear, with a week's worth of food, and a small supply of water was about 22 kg. I plan to keep my load under 15 kg in the future.
BOB is a few kilos, depending on what cutlery is thrown in. The above was that plus clothes and camping gear.
Military (FDF) I think the basic combat gear alone could weigh something like 15 kg. Possibly a frag vest in addition. The full field pack with all your clothes and sleeping gear and extra trinkets is a big weight on top of that, though not usually on you for long. Manual says you're supposed to carry an extra 15-25 kilos in addition to these - and temporarily 5-10 kg extra to all that. The combat engineers should know about this better, hauling along a couple of pairs of track mines, 10 kilos a piece. I don't even want to know what the comm-cable laying gear, which the signalsmen have to endure, weighs.
My load for 3 or 4 days in the woods is usually about 25 pounds or so, plus a rifle if I decide to carry one. That's packing for relative comfort. This summer I did a 2 day trip with about 5 pounds or less, but that was into an area that I knew had the vegetation to provide adequate shelter options, and with good weather... It all depends on what your skill levels are and how cold you like to sleep
I usually have time for hiking in winter time. Therefore I go only for 1 day walks. I do not usually carry more than 8 kg.
About military - of course, it depends which army you serve, terrain and support.
