I am just curious what the weights are of everyone's absolute most CARRIED knife? Not a general range of weight preferences, but more specific.

I am really starting to think it makes a bigger difference than I initially thought.

Thanks for any input,

Kevin

I don't have a digital scale, but according to Case the weight of my chestnut bone peanut is 1.2 oz., or approximately 34 grams.

Since blade I have been carrying one of Richard Rogers' carbon fiber peanuts about 4 or 5 days a week. It tips the scales at 1/2 an ounce :D.

My peanut, 1 1/3 oz.
Victorinox bantam, 1 1/2 oz.
Victorinox recruit, 2 1/4 oz.
Opinel number 7, 1/3/4 oz.
Wenger SI, 3 oz.
Bladeforums easy open jack, 3 1/4 oz.

Disclaimer; Weights on an old weight watchers scale.

I honestly don't know. However much a Case redbone 'Nut weighs. My most carried nontraditional knife is right around four ounces.

Thanks so far to everyone! I second Carl about the Rogers peanut. That thing must be featherlight!

Oh, and hi Unc, thats a light weight for a big knife.

buck 110 , 7.2 oz it was my fathers and now it's mine. I stopped carrying it a while ago because of sentimental reasons . I almost lost it

Most carried is a Case large Stockman. I don't have a scale handy, but most sites list it at 4.1oz. That seems right.

If not that, then recently it has been a regular yellow trapper, which seems to be about the same.

Front Pocket: GEC Tidioute #33 Conductor.........1.6 oz.
Back Pocket: GEC Northfield #65 Ben Hogan......2.8 oz.

This in light cotton shorts.

Joel Chamblin WT, 2.3 oz. (65.2 g), 3 1/8" closed.
