How much does your phone play a part in your everyday life?

Not in any part of my everyday life at all! I’m an older guy who figured out that I want LESS communication instead of more.
My wife, (who can’t live without her cellphone!), bought me a cellphone that I don’t use. Call me a luddite but I actually survive without one. How can that be? 😁
Don’t get me wrong, these cellphones are amazing with what they can do but they’re not for me.
Anyone else?

I use mine mostly for music and the 2 forums I check daily.
Other than texts my phone is mostly unused. Unless you count the spam calls and email that I rarely even check. Last I looked I had over 3,000 emails. All unopened.

I consider myself a heavy user. However compared to some I'm not.

Calls, WhatsApp, e-mail, banking, music, podcasts, audiobooks, e-books, photos, Waze, Google, Maps, Hotel bookings, Flights......etc, etc.

Truthfully with all the travelling I do it's become an indispensable tool in my life. I would find it very hard to go back to not being connected.

Texts, calls, and music/airpods...that's the majority. Read and send work emails here and there, but normally use the work laptop. And will go online occasionally, but normally use a tablet as I like the bigger screen.

I’d be much better off without it lol
Most of the time I’m searching Bladeforums or watching knife reviews on YouTube 😂
I just caved and bought another knife today… I could save a LOT of money if I went offline for a while.

oh well... guess I am heavily addicted to using my phone for everything including most of what \i used to do with my computer except CAD projects.
Maybe I am already in the "cyborg" category.

I only use my phone to communicate with others; telephone, text and to get an Uber ride.

But I am 73,disabled with low vision and recovering from hip replacement surgery. For thedse reasons I carryh my phone with me (on my person) everywhere I go to get help if I have a mishap of some sort.

Once in a while though, I do call on Seri to settle some trivial disagreement about a celebrity, their work or some minor point of sports history.
