How much have you spent???

Don't know......don't care to know either. Some things are better left in the dark!

Busse’s have always attracted me because they’re good, honest using knives offering the very highest performance value available. If you look at performance vs. cost, it’s hard to argue with any Busse purchase. That said, I wouldn’t get too excited about the spending practices of Busse collectors.

Going through money buying blades is an almost infinitely open-ended proposition. On a whim, I recently asked a broker what it would cost to have Yoshindo Yoshihara build a katana. The base price for a bare blade without furniture was quoted at $37,000 (no, I didn’t). But even buying American-made, you can spend very briskly with a little imagination. Here’s a very simple, unembellished combo that would certainly require some special budgeting (upwards of $16,000 per a current quote).

Compared to to my inner needs,.........I ain't spent nothin yet dude. Speak not of money brother, this sort of stuff cannot be reduced to mere money. Infi in hand cannot be counted ..........its just this felling ya know :D

I only pay in $15 installments, and I lost all my receipts.

while we were talking about katanas...did anyone see the new show on discovery channel called "weapons masters" or something along those lines? i would love to find out how much and who made the more traditional american katana...hoping it would be much cheaper. i also think the show should take a visit to Wauseon

8? Now that is hogging on a high order. Hats off to Hogwash for besting Jaxx in numbers of Cultellus' purchased.

Thank you.

I'm a bit surprised. The Cultellus is a very good deal when you consider that it's a satin finished custom shop model with tigerhide micarta. Jerry even said that it won't be made in this configuration again.

About service for eight, it's always a bummer when you have service for four and guest #5 shows up. When you have service for eight and guest #9 shows up, you just say I didn't think I would ever need service for twelve.

You have to be modest about these things.

Didn't Old Pigsics score a set of Culties for steak knives, too? I can't wait until I generate the kind of income that would allow me to indulge in such hoggish behavior.

To put things into perspective, in terms of amount of money spent on hobbies/ passions, think about how much watch collectors spend, or how much hot rod guys spend on their cars, or the dudes in Porsche or Ferrari racing leagues. There are a TON of cats throwing that kind of money around. Not to mention off-shore sail racing. Or horse racing. Busse knife collecting costs nothing by comparison.

I found a receipt, but I burned the incriminating thing.

About 3% Of last years Al/Mar Budget, But gaining by the minute!! The last 3 weeks have made unprecidented progress!! Thanks Jery, Amy=o and Skunk!!!

Look out guys! I think I hear kuribo stomping over the horizon!

back on topic, I echo mymindisamob, NUNYA! :p

If I tell the truth, I risk being judged being judged based on fact. If I lie about it, I risk being judged based on incorrect information. There is no good answer here. I invoke my right to keep my mouth shut about it.

After looking over my modest amount of INFI I can say without doubt, NOT ENOUGH.
