How much is a lnib sebenza worth these days?

Lol, you'all sound like a bunch of old ladies in a sewing circle!

I think the general rule of thumb is if it matters to you that much, is buyer beware and to ask more questions if you happen to be persnickety.

I for one after I buy a knife proceed to start cutting crap with it. I either want to pay the price or I don't. I've seen plenty of anal retentive buyers who potentially need therapy for their OCD scrutinize every minutiae of a $75 mini grip, measuring blade centering with a micrometer. I mean hell, my wife drinks more than that in wine at a dinner.

It's unreal sometimes and just sometimes, well... the seller needs to just take a stand and say FU, stop being a knife-a-holic idiot. If you don't like my wares push off and go buy someplace else.

End of story.

There is a difference between a seller mislabeling or omitting faults and a buyer being anal retentive to minute details.

Sometimes things just don't sell without a reason other than it didn't match up with a buyer. Put it up again in 2 weeks and you could have 2 buyers in 10 minutes.
I didn't see if it listed as large or small .I didn't look at the photo's and there may have been one of the card
Sharpening will reduce the value & those interested
It seems about priced right. If you are in a hurry maybe drop it $15 to $350, but you may have missed this round in the exchange(seems there were problems with the initial ad). Many have already looked and they may not return for another look until it is re-listed in 14 days.
Good luck on the sale

This seller wants to know why his knife isn't selling. We are telling him. I don't think the advice sounds like a bunch of old ladies in a sewing circle, and think that comment is a bit insulting to both us and old ladies.

If it is blatantly obvious that someone is misrepresenting an item and breaking rules, then the knowledgeable members here won't buy. It's actually really simple.

Right but as to the actual reason as to why its not selling, it's all conjecture. From the possibility of it not being payday to any host of reasons. I guess I'm not so much as really commenting on this particular thread and directing it at the posters in this thread but the oftentimes general frivolity of knife-nuts.

With regards to misdirection and description of BNIB, LNIB, as anothwer OP posted, this topic often veers into full blown debates.

If I were you I’d hang onto it and use it for a while. You can always send it back to CRK for a spa treatment. What you’re listing it for now is a reasonable price, it’s also the most common CRK most of us knife nerds own or have owned already

If it is sharpened and taken apart, "new" can't be anywhere in the description. There is no debate about that. A person who doesn't read, and infact breaks the rules will have much less success selling an item. These are major issues as to why the OP's knife could not be selling, as pointed out by other members. General gripes about anal buyers aren't really the topic, though I do agree that can also be an issue to look out for as a seller.

Too much.
Too much what? Price?

For a taken apart sharpened plain Jane, I'd agree. But for a NIB or BNIB, like the op thinks he has, $365 isn't out of the question. The problem is the Op doesn't know what he has and isn't listing it according. Nor has he recognized the rules or read the room here.

And it's not like this situation can't be rectified. Mistakes were made. We have all made them and we all have to build our feedback and show that we are reputable. After said mistakes, a price drop can lead to a sale and learning can lead to less mistakes. Read the room. Like I said before, this isn't ebay.

I definitely see BNIB and LNIB thrown around casually on sales threads with many folks seeming to have different definitions for those descriptions. To me BNIB means it was either never handled or only taken out to be inspected and for sales pictures. LNIB is you played with it once or twice, maybe shaved an arm hair or two, hey maybe even licked the blade a few times, who am I to judge? Everything else is used.

If you use LNIB or BNIB with no other descriptive information it better be as it came and even then any faults should be noted. I don't have any problem with the terms being misused with a follow up description. Technically wrong, but as long as there is enough there that I know what I am buying, I'm good. If you say LNIB except for beating it with a hammer, I know what I am getting even though it is not LNIB. But if you say LNIB only and it comes looking like it has been beat with a hammer-we have a problem
of course if not LNIB it would be best if you didn't say so, but I can get past that

We were all getting along so nice, and then.................

When I am buying trading, selling I always list, or look for "used, carried, sharpened".
I am more of a collector than a user, so I prefer mostly unused/unsharpened knives.
If I see inconsistanies I move on. If the other person has a scant history I typically move on. Why take a chance? Because my history is questable (partly, thanks to established members not taking the time to submit feedback) I aways offer to send first, and even offer some BF members the opportunity to inspect first.

This my thinking as well.

For knives in this price range, sharpening will significantly reduce the resale value. $365 is not out of range but definitely not a sweet deal for most buyers. I would prefer to pay $400 for an unsharpened, everything else the same.

If it is a vg10 Spyderco delica, I will happily choose the one that has been sharpened (but not over-sharpened) if it is $10 cheaper than otherwise unsharpened, again assuming everhting else the same.

I’ve bought two large PJ’s in the last 4 weeks off the exchange, and i passed on this one because of what craytab craytab has already stated. One i bought was listed correctly as “returned from spa”, and the other was correctly listed as “sharpened user in good condition”.
I wasn’t disappointed in either, as both sellers were happy to answer my OCD questions.
Was confident in my purchases.
Breaking the rules is a “no purchase” for me.
Also, the OP’s large PJ is a bit too much for what it is.
Just my experience.

Also, i have a bunch of BNIB knives for sale that have been sharpened and slightly used if you’re interested cchu518 cchu518 . ;) lol
