I could get that Variation 1 at the antique shop as it is the lowest units produced (11,000) but i really like the Variation 2 or 3 with the Medallion on the scale. I don’t collect to make money later just love the fact that there is enough Variations to keep the hunting fun.
My Forte or niche is finding the ones that need prettying up. Restoration gives me the most pleasure when it comes to collecting.

Second from top is identical to the Plain Gertrude* 50th I picked up in 2014 at a Wally's in Ohio, for $28.95. His then regular every day price for a standard Brass 'n Wood 110.

*I've never met a plain Jane ... Every Jane I've ever known was hot.

And to think, as 1 of 160,000 made I've been using mine as a hunting knife since I bought it.

Guess I should head to the 'bay and sell it as a vintage 50th anniversary knife with authentic rustic wear for $150.

I’m gonna offer that guy at the Antique shop $70 for that 1st version he has. Doubt he will bite as he wants $129. I’m gonna say i would pay that much if it was a rusty 2018, but not for a common 50th anniversary model.

Been watching a 50th on the bay and it jumped from $40 to $92. Now i know the guy won’t take my $70 unless he doesn’t fallow ebay

Ha ha made the offer of $70. They offered 10% off $129 lol. $70 was a safe way for me not to buy it keeping some funds for the cheaper 110/112’s that need my amateur spa treatment/therapy.
