How Much Lock Strength Is Needed?

As I posted in your other thread, Tonie (just figured I'd repost here, as well), either the Benchmade 710 or the 42 would be a good back-cutter. The Axis or the bali is not going to fold on you, and both have false edges which could be sharpened for back-cutting.

I do not train for Martial Bladecraft so I am not familiar with the grip used during a Back Cut.

However, based on my experiences with different locks I would expect the Axis Lock or a well executed Frame Lock to possess both the Strength and Reliability needed.
