How much oil do you keep on your kuks in storage times ?

Clean with dog slobber. Nothing better. Leave it on a few days for a good patina. Then wipe with bacon fat or lard (optional). Just kidding of course;)

If you dont have dogs then clean with rubbing alcohol and rub with mineral oil and boiled linseed oil mix. Ratio dont matter.

I am not sure, but it seems the shop packs the knives with a non-toxic organic coat based on soy oil...anyone who knows better should feel free to chime in here...
 
did ya taste it?

Kinda....saved up enough from several knives and fried up some fish in it.....

Somebody had mentioned the name and it seemed a derivative name of soy products over in that neck of the woods....i could be way off....it certainly has no rank petroleum smell...or any at all...
