How much paracord?

I was wondering how much paracord to wrap around the sheath for the "just in case" scenario. What do you recomend?

50 feet seems logical.

At least 20-25 feet is my choice. Part of it will depend on the size of the sheath and how bulky you want it IMHO.

What is the best way to wrap the cord? I want to do a single layer on my sheath but am unsure on how to get it so it looks good and holds. How do you tie off?
