How much snow do you have?

We had well over three feet at Christmas... then we had some rain and a thaw so now we are down to perhaps 8 inches.

I actually don't mind the thaw because it gives us room for the new snow that we are sure to get soon. Plus, the thaw helps the deer movement.

We had a good foot of snow accumulate over a period of just over a week. This is an uncommon amount for us as we are in the desert at around 500 feet above sea level (The Great Columbia Basin). Usually we get an inch or three and it melts off then we get more and it melts, and so on. Also this snow came much earlier than normal, usually it waits to snow here until late January to early March.

We have about a foot and a half of snow so far this season, and it was -31 this morning. Wood furnace has been busy with the cold weather and the oil furnace has not run in over 3 weeks.

New Jersey got hit today, big fat flakes coming down. Everything's covered. :)

happy new year!

Fortunately we don't have any snow and quite frankly I'd like to keep it that way so the rest of you are more than welcome to have our share. In fact anyone in my area who even wishes for snow is going to have an icicle shoved up thier rear end.
