How much tension?

just finishing up a new two wheel 2x72 modified version of the drive shaft grinder...need some input on how much tension on the abrasive belt...right now I'm at about 30-32 lbs. It seems like its about right but I'm not sure! Will post a pic when I get it painted! thanks, Bill A.

Never measured on mine. I went with "tight enough that it tracks right" and "not so tight the bearings get hot".

Came up with an answer from 3m... the tech rep said that 30 to 40 pounds was appropriate for 2x72s so I was happy that I was in the ballpark...I'll see what I kin do for pics...I am excited about the design so I'll try to get some pics on without paint! Bill A. (got pics but haven't figured out how to insert them!)
