How often do you disassemble for cleaning?

I have delica 4 ffg and delica 4 stainless steel, which is pinned. Although I can take apart my delica 4 frn, I have always been fully able to clean and maintain it without disassembling it. I don't think it needs to be disassembled to perform necessary cleaning, although one could get a more thorough clean, but not anything that would make a difference in use or longevity of the knife. I find that getting into the knife with folded up paper towels with rem gun oil works perfectly. Then just put a few drops of oil on the pivot and it makes all of the lint and other debris ooze to the surface then all you have to do is wipe it off the next morning. therefore, I do not consider my pinned stainless model to be at a disadvantage. In fact, I get the impression that my stainless handle delica 4 will outlast my other spydercos.

Something can only be removed with a dismantling.

or a DEEP CLEANING in the Sonic tank.

I don't know what kind of crud discolored the water.
Usually it is black oil/grease.

I don't find it any big deal.
Here's a few.
