I open quite a few boxes, but generally use my EDC fixed blade. My folder is hardly neglected, but it's not my main user.

A typical day prolly once or so. Handle it alot tho. Then sometimes there's a job that needs a knife and there we go.

I use this one every day.

I think a better poll is how often do you cut. I flip/flick my pocket knife open repeatedly multiple times per day as an anxiety release device, but I guess that is "off-label" use.

I probably cut with it once or twice a day, average. Generally tape, cardboard, sometimes mail. Sometimes myself. Only thing I used my knife for was to open Ramen noodle packages to go with dinner. Trying to eat on the cheap. At least until I start my new job in January.

K.O.D. K.O.D. New job? I hope that turns out well for you brother. I'll be rooting for you.

I'm in the once or twice group. Some days it can be alot more than that, but others, like today, I didn't cut a single thing.

I normally spend my lunch sharpening knives if I'm not working for free... so 3-5 on average not counting lunch or using them as fidget spinners

Thanks, it's a weird situation. With my dad gone, it's too hard to run the business just my mother and I. We are selling the business, and the new owner is hiring me.

I used to carry a bigger knife at work and a smaller one after. I used a knife 5-6 times a day then. Now, I'm retired and my small knife is as small and harmless looking as possible. A Classic SAK would be perfect if they made the blade beefier. When I'm not using a leetle "grandpa knife", I carry a Tinker. Nothing bigger.

I take it out and use it whenever and wherever. I've had ladies at Target ask me to cut something. Still, that's prolly a couple times a day. However, if I don't have it with me, it seems I need it 10 times a day. The jobs I use it on are certainly much more of a pain in the butt to do without.

I have a small slipjoint that I used to cut down a 1" thick tree sprouting in my yard last week. It took less than half a minute to whittle it down and the knife took a lickin' and kept on tickin'.
