How often do your knives bite you

Just got myself now with a fixed blade western Bolder Colorado L28. I was packing the knife up and trying to make a homemade sheath out of cardboard and the knife cut all the way through and slid into my finger. Doesn't need stitches but drew some blood.

Just wondering how often do you guys get bitten? I mean the saying goes play with fire get burned well we're literally playing with knives like literally flipping butterfly knives.

I always have band-aid's with me--always. My wife is an RN for the serious stuff and there's a regional hospital accross the street. [emoji382]

Usually once every couple of months, but it's pretty rare if I'm not being stupid about things.

Seems that the times I cut myself the most are when I'm testing sharpness on a newly sharpened blade. I've given myself what I call "blade rash" more times than I care to admit.

Well, i work with knives 10 hours a day at my job, and play with my pocket knife about 1 hour a day, i get a cut every 2 or 3 years.

That is one object lesson I don't like to keep a tally of. But since you asked, probably a couple times a year.

I seem to go through times I cut my self ever few days then no nicks for a while and the cycle starts over.

My knives want to be feed my blood.

As I use and respect knives as tools and not toys, I don't tend to get cut. I can't remember the last time it happened.

Maybe once every couple months I get a little nick but I have not had a gusher in years.

I had one open in my pocket just this past weekend and it cut me pretty good. Prior to that.... At least a few months

I would say I get bitten once a month in the shop. 2 more times of needing stitches and my 10th trip to the doc in a box will be free!

It happens

Last week I slipped while being stupid and shoved my D2 Kwaiken into my finger. /i was impressed at how efficiently it cut me.

It was a deep cut, nothing some superglue couldn't fix

I've only cut myself badly two ✌ times. Both times were thumb 👍 cuts when closing a liner lock, cqc7 & Persistence.
With the cqc7 I was at work and distracted. With the Persistence I was drunk. I take asprin daily and bleed like a stuck pig.

I don't get bit very often, and usually not too bad when i do; once in a while...

I swear they're stealing money from me though...
