^^^ exactly, thank you.He meant that the site doe not say anything about O2W, it just shows a bunch of no longer available knives....so, unless one already knows what's going on, there isn't an indication on the site.
^^^ exactly. And I'm certainly not complaining about it, it's just an observationand like I said I my original replyI just think it's kinda strange.Funny you say that. In another group someone asked me if Busse was even still making knives since everything on the website said unavailable. So I went on to explain OP2W to them
I think in the long run its probably more profitable if a potential customer gets sucked into this great group of hogs, thus it's great marketing.^^^ exactly, thank you.
Weak communication on that website from a marketing/sales standpoint.
Which is probably why you have people wandering into a third party forum like this, wondering what the heck is going on with Busse knives.

Agree that the group forums are good, but anyone can access the forum either way. Look, if they are hardwired into BF to sell product, then manufacturer's website should direct more newb viewers to BF and explain benefits you describe right on the home page, which would produce more Hogs for the party. There is no substitute for basic communication.I think in the long run its probably more profitable if a potential customer gets sucked into this great group of hogs, thus it's great marketing.
Imagine I see a TGLB in the wild or a movie.
Scenario A: I go to the manufacturers homepage get all the information I can dream of, buy one and done. I might be checking the page every few months if there's something new but that's it.
Scenario B: Little information on the manufacturers page. Need to check the forum. There'll I'll be exposed to more happy users and crazy tales of Infi. With this more human connection and marketing I'll be more likely to be sucked into the whole craze be more up to date and buy more.
If that kind of environment would be limited to Busse I'll probably not make an effort to go there very often but here at BF, where I'm anyways, it's super convinient and fun.
Could this be done in facebook? Not really its way to superficial and fleeting. At least I wouldn't make an effort there to write some detailed reviews or interact with people who I don't know and who could be saying anything for all I know. Here at BF however we know each other.
Excellent point. Making BF Busse easier to find from the Busse homepage could be a huge bonus.Agree that the group forums are good, but anyone can access the forum either way. Even just looking at myself.
First time I heard about Busse was when one guy tortured a Battle Mistress in some video. I got curious and went to busse.com and there wasn't much which at that time I could justify buying.
I almost forgot about the brand.
Eons later I signed up at BF for other reasons and came accross the Busse section and only then I learned about how good Infi really is from real users and what kind of models there are and whenever something new hits the market.
I totally get your point. Got some MBA in marketing myselfBingo! You nailed it, Jens.
To be fair, I guess I tend to look at these things a little differently, as I'm an advertising / marketing consultant. We create websites and branding work at my little business, so I'm all about improving sales and communications are a big part of brand image. The last thing you want is a potential customer forgetting about your brand.
huh, I get email notices that ordering a new knife is now live, and then other notices about how orders are about to close. You don't get those?
And I'm certainly not complaining about it, it's just an observation...
