How often you sharpen your edc user knife?

Just reprofiled the blade to 18 degree(green mark) on Apex. I guess it's per side, 36 included both sides. Finished with 600 grit stone and tape polished. Made it so sharp that when tried to shave the hair were popping up, like jumping goats. Then put a secondary edge on fine spyderco roads at 40 degree included both sides, about 20-25 strokes per side. Then leather stroped it for a couple of minutes. Tell you what, now it's the sharpiest knife I ever handled . Let's see how it will hold it's edge over a couple of days, hope better than before.

It really depends on how much I use a particular knife. Some I've never sharpened, others need touched up weekly,monthly.tom.

During a usual week of operating my 10 ton wrecker I cut maybe 5-6 1/4" wide plastic tie downs for holding broken parts together, 3-4 kevlar air bags that are too bloody to leave intact while moving a car, maybe the same amount of random rubber hoses etc., 1-2 bumpers, maybe a seat belt or two, some thin gauge wiring like that to a car horn or a fuse, and a cardboard box or two of parts we get or just to break them down. Occasionally I used it to trim some of the trees around the shop when I am bored and can't find the clippers because Al actually stored them away where he was supposed to(Still an unknown location to me...).
I use a LoneWolf Ranger in S30V. I sharpen it once a week on average. It seems to me about every second to third week I hit it with a diamond hone and finish it off with a ceramic or arkansas stone. I sometimes strop it in my spare time.

Sounds awesome. How did you do the recurve with the Apex? Please let us know how it holds up.
