I am 36, which has felt like a real change. I am now on the second half of the Biblical three-score-and-ten, and I am no longer in the target marketing demographic. I didn't expect 36 to feel like a big deal, but it really has.

Fortunately life is good. I have a wonderful daughter and my son was just born one week ago today. And my wife is amazing and even tolerant of my knife habit ;)

it all goes downhill in your 30s :D

I can personally attest to that!

Lately I have a saying, "I'm getting too old to get any older!" Which is an evolution of what I used to say, "I'm getting too old for this stuff!"

A buddy of mine, who is just into his 50s either gets very amused, or looks like he wants to throttle me when I say such things... I'll be 32 in a touch less than a month. ;) :D

But I'm a firm believer, just like Indy, "it's not the years, it's the miles!"

It's all a bit odd to me really... things I did in my teens and 20s, I used to say I'd never live to be 30... lo and behold it happened. What the heck do I do now? Lol

I have no issues with my age. I'm 64. I read once that we all have an age where we forever imagine or "see" ourselves thereafter. I see myself at 30 around the time my daughter ("Primary Issue" as my son says. He refers to himself as The Chief's "Final Issue") :D

My memories over the years revolve around my family and our lives together. Now that I am retired (early, I admit) and my kids are grown, my grandchildren fill my life. Still, this place is respite for me from all the noise and conflagration we still have to deal with, daily.
