24 here. My age is starting to show. Been listening to a lot of '90s R&B and hiphop all of a sudden. Pharcyde, Hieroglyphics, Nas, Soundbombing, Aesop Rock, DJ Honda, Tribe Called Quest. Man, I need to bring out the turntables or something.
I'm pretty sure there are knifenuts in every generation. I know we have a number of older folks here. And judging by their postings, I'm guessing there are some twelve year olds on the boards from time to time as well. I'm very middle of the road. 37 and a half.
45 yrs old, got my first knife from my Grandmother when I was 8. It was a gold colored, two pen blade, slip joint souvenir knife from Niagara Falls with a picture of the Falls molded into the handle.
I was laying on my Mother's couch playing with the knife, watching TV and not paying attention to the knife when all of a sudden the knife slipped and I cut my hand. (you figure a Cub Scout should have known better) I dropped the knife and quicklly grabbed my cut hand with my good hand and squeezed tightly and was afraid to look. My Mother saw the look on my face and asked me "what did you do" I said "nothing" as blood was seeping out between my fingers and onto her couch. (it's a good thing cushions flip over)
She told me to get off her couch and go outside. When she finally came outside to check on me she told me "I hope you learned a lesson" :grumpy:
Well I did, I realize that knives are sharp, they will cut you when you are doing something stupid or not paying attention and that if you use them on your Mother's or Wife's couch you are probably going to get in trouble. That goes for cleaning guns and carburetors also.
