At 71 I'm getting too much closer the the end than the beginning, and it's depressing. On the other hand, getting this old is liberating, I don't care about a lot of things I used to care about, they're too trivial. I fear I'm becoming too honest.
Carl.

46.

I am living the best life I can live right now. I feel great, and truly blessed. My only concern is that I need to lose about 25 lbs, and that my vericose veins are poppin out of my legs. I also have to be careful with fast food. McDonald's always makes my feet swell up, so I finally learned to stay away from that poison. Oh, I usually have to wake up to pee in the middle of the night, and I really hate that. I am contemplating some pullups for a good nights sleep. The wife does not like to hear the crinkling sound however when I roll over.

Exactly! I'm closing in on 66 (The Blade Show usually coincides with my birthday.)
I find that in retirement I wear what I want to, say what I want to, don't have to worry at all about being politically correct re my employer. "Liberating' is the correct word. As for getting old being depressing, I find it to be exactly the opposite.
Other than the health and well-being of my children and grandchildren, I don't worry about much of anything anymore, because "I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that He is able to keep that which i've delivered unto Him against that day."

62 in a few months. My continued existence is a tribute to the regenerative powers of the human liver.

When I was 16 I thought anybody over 30 was an old fart. Now that I'm 67 It's starting to look like 70 is old fartage.

I am simple delighted to say that I turned 60 last week. Yippee!!!! And I have an early retirement option looming on the horizon.... maybe only 3 more months of work and I will be retired. Woo Hoo!!!

And... I am in excellent health, not falling apart, and have another 30-40 good years ahead of me to do whatever the heck I want to do. So many options, so much fun to be had.

twenty five, but only for the afternoon, why do have to ask these messed up philosophically intriguing questions.... I'm gonna go fondle my knives and ponder the relative concept of chronology... - hayes

19...20 in August. That means that 21 is only a year and some change away. Most people would be excited to go to bars. Partly...I am (although let's face it...I'm in college so I'm not necessarily a stranger to beverages of the alcoholic variety ;) ). More importantly, I'm looking forward to applying for my pistol permit...and then waiting 6 months to a year to get it because I live in NY. But still. 21 will be a good year for me. :D
