How old were you, when you got your first knife, and what was it?

I was about 8 or 9 when my parents gave me an Ulster scout knife. At about that same age I bought my first one, a Precise International stag-handled Solingen hunting knife. Cost me less than $3.
 
My 1st knife was a 9" "Black beauty" stiletto I found in my father's nite stand , he traveled alot for months at a time, so figured he wouldn't miss it . he never asked about it on he's return, this all took place in 1956, ........wish I had it now ! :(
