No truer words ever spoken! LOL!

Send me that money is easy to come by book would ya. I got some serious catching up to do.

Bookie, I am quite impressed with your new buttcap, and after receiving my Yangdu Special today, I can see the benefits in rounding the points. I have small hands, and the top point on the handle still feels funky in my palm. I may round just the top and leave the bottom pointy. But I could never even attempt such beautiful engravings.

I grabbed mine off the wall after seeing Bookies pictures too. Mine doesn't feel too bad but rounding the point would make it better. I got the file, I said a few words, pondered a bit and hung it back on the wall and checkered some grips instead.

I'll do it someday but it's so perfect the way it is that I gots to build up my nerve some more.

I to would never even attempt the engravings. Wish I could do that.

Another incredible series of project pictures Bookie. Incredible, job making a beautiful blade even more beautiful. I keep scrolling up just to look at it again.

Hi Shav! It's always nice to see you pop in. You been ill I know, but we do think about you. Thanks for the kind words, but if I was half as good as Bawanna, I'd be some punkins!

SingleGrind, get you a piece of scrap aluminum (killed preferably) or maybe a sheet of copper or brass. Make or buy a graver, grab a 1/2 pound ball peen and go to town. You might borrow the book The Art of Engraving by James B. Meek. He's passed away now, but was from here in Corn Patch. Did a shot gun for President Ford. His wife used to feed us kids cookies all the time. His book is one of the foremost engraving bibles. All the drawings in the book are not drawings. Those are engravings he did!

I shall add that book to my list. I've got some scrap roofing copper, a torch, and tool box. Ball peen and engraver are lacking though. I'll definitely look into both that book, and the tools. Use to doodle up a storm back in school, might as well put that to some use. Thanks for the pointers!
