How Pokey1 got her name.

I called in to the office today to try and give a last fond farewell to our Dearest Amy0 and to my deepest sadness found out that she is gone....sigh...

However, I did get to talk to the Wondrous Pokey1, and I hope I did not sound too disappointed to not reach Amy. But Pokey did a fine job and consoled me as much as is possible given the circumstances. We shared stories and even had a laugh or two. Thank You Pokey - it did help.:D:thumbup:

But a wonder comes to mind - how did Pokey1 get her name? Of course compared to Amy0 we are all a bit "pokey" - but about this one in particular - I am sure the Janitor did the naming ......and then there is the number "1" after Pokey which must have some significance. Himmmm......:confused:


A thought - Back in the day we had a contest to guess how Amy0 got her name and what it meant - perhaps we could do the same with Pokey1? Or others for that matter - but I thought we could start with Pokey1 as I am sure there is a story behind it........Perhaps we could even get "someone" to er.......ahhh .......cough ........add something to spice up the pot for being the successful Holmes in this case.

This may have already been settled in the past and I am simply not aware - but what is the story behind "Pokey1" ??

Because "StabyouinthethroatwithaMOABandplaceyourheadonapikeatthefrontdoor" was a little "cumbersom" on the board.... ;) :eek:
 
She must have been sluffing along one day and someone called her on it for being a pokey-1!!!

As for the 1 at the end, maybe it's like a vanity license plate. Pokey could already have been taken so she had to settle with the 1 :confused:

OR........maybe she always think she's no. 1 :D

I think that when Pokey showed up for work she had her hair in pig-tails, looking somewhat like an Indian maiden, hence the nickname Pokey (for Pocahontas).;):thumbup:
 
Pokey is probably short for Pocohontas like some have said and she and Amy were in some sort of contest where Pokey won....
