How Rampant is HIKV (ie: how many khuks do you have and how often do you use them)

Hmmm, Let me think...

Anywhere between 5 and 10 depending on what Uncle has sent recently. I sell them here in AL to friends, neighbors, etc. It is nice to be able to fondle them for a while before selling them though!!!

. You name it, and it can probably be done with a Khuk. Mine have been used for, (among other things):
Kitchen use (veggies, meat, frozen stuff, etc)
Wood Splitting (over 2 Cord, Big AK)
Tree trimming and limbing
Bush trimming
Stump destruction
Trench Digging
Brush removal
Fence removal
Automotive hose replacement
Drywall trimming
Wall-paper trimming
Interior wood trim removal
Bush, flower and vegetable planting
Removal of bathroom vanity
Destruction of old wheel-barrow (I needed the tire, and the nuts were rusted, what else could I do but hack the thing to pieces??

)
Cutting half-lap joints in landscape timbers
Scraping paint
Removing rotted portions of my porch railing
Cutting up my kids food in Restaurants (mostly with the Karda though...)

And, last but not least...
Wearing them in public A LOT to see what kind of comments I can extract from people!

I'm sure that there are many other things that I have done too, but, you get the idea.

The only thing better than a sharp knife is... Lots of sharp knives! :)

HIKV is the only known virus that is transmitted among humans through contact with the internet.

I've been collecting knives for about ten years now, but I'm pretty new to khukuris -- I only have one 15" Ang Khola so far, but I also have that 18" WWII on its way.. two khukuris in one week, that can't be legal.

I haven't had a chance to use the AK yet (though I was tempted to go clear some brush yesterday, my car got towed and I was in a really foul mood).

I'm going back to HI for a vacation next week, will probably take both khukuris with me and try them out on the banana and guava trees in my mom's backyard.

Maybe I'll get a sirupati or a kumar kobra next, I haven't decided. When you do your budgeting, how much money do you have to set aside for "knife-related expenses" every year before you officially qualify as mentally ill?

Twice a week if kitchen or exercise is is included.

Once every 2-3 weeks for outdoor chopping. I use to be able to get out more often.

I have approximately 10 khukuri's in total. Some of them have not been used at all for quite a while. The 18.5" WWII (field) and Village (kitchen and home repairs) model are the most heavily used. For exercise the Mega Salyan or 22" Ang Khola usually gets used. Now I think the 22" Ang Khola is light and fast, even though it is not.

In all honesty I would probably get along fine with only a Ganga Ram Special or WWII. However since I do not drink or smoke I need some way to keep from getting to uptight.

With proper application of the khukuri the food bill can be reduced.

Hmmm... been averaging 1 new khukuri just about every 1.5 weeks for a year...

and use different ones each day....

I think that qualifies as HIKV....

hehe
