How rare is the 9-OT?

Well gotta say I don't see em out there. I noticed one with a leather lanyard and one without? Did all 9OT come w/lanyard? Any information on this elusive knife would be greatly appreciated.
 
My observation would be uncommon. I'll bet they were not real common even during the time they were made. I do not think the standard Old Timer 9OT had a lanyard shipped. It is a 6OT with a guthook blade, they both had a lanyard hole but no thong.
 
Guess I shouldn't use the one I got then. I use the hook for opening those clamp pack things. Worked great.
