How rare is....

I have 5 of those. bought em at walmart yesterday. Lol just playin, i never heard of lime green, i'm guessing it's an aftermarket handle. Sheeps foot and oval would make it a benchmade 555.
 
Well, I'm not sure but I was searching for a Mini- Grip yellow handle the other day and swear I saw a lime green sheep foot liisted but it may have been a senior moment!
 
They did indeed produce a lime green handle, as well as a purple one. They were discontinued years ago, though they kept the yellow and blue ones around. Never actually seen one though! Just catalog pictures. I'm not sure of the value, but I'm guessing that it's from the 440C era of production (i.e. before they switched the steel to 154cm). Am I correct in this?
 
You should be able to read the blade steel on the right-hand side of the blade, just behind the thumb hole. By your comment I'm guessing you don't have it in your possession, but that's where to check. Congrats on your purchase! :)

P.S. The blades from the newer models are interchangeable with the 440C ones, so if you get another with a 154CM blade and want to swap scales it's totally doable. :cool:
