How the Hell did 50Cent get a Satin Jack shirt???

My sincere apologies if I stepped on anybody's toes, but ARME was contacted yesterday to let them know they were using images and trademarks that were property of someone else, and a link to this thread was added.

I received this reply:
Don thank you for the email.

I am simply a reseller of these shirts and had no idea that the pictures were used without permission. I have just sent an email to Lorne Ludwig about this issue and will be taking those shirts off of the site tonight. We are not trying to get over on anyone and are not intentionally violating copyrights, we value everyone's work and would never intentionally rip anyone off.

The people at ARME have been square dealing folks and I believe that they are unaware of the situation and am sure that they will do what it takes to rectify the problem.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and as stated the shirts will be removed from the site until all parties are happy.

Thank you very much.

That appears to be step one. There's still a mess they may have to clean up, but their first reply seems encouraging.

I too did not want to step on any toes but this "stuck in my craw" so I shot the ARMEONLINE webmaster an e-mail brining to their attention that:

-------------------------------------

"... As you own no rights to these products (ARME can not transfer rights to you for items they do not own the rights to in the first place.) therefore you are the "bootlegger" and should remove these items from your web site. As you have now been notified of the violation continued sales of these products on-line by your company could make you as well as ARME liable for damages..."

I received this relpy:

Thank you very much for your email.

First I would like to apologize for what has been done had no idea that the pictures that Arme has on their shirts are not licensed and that they were your property and used without permission.

I am simply a reseller. I bought the shirts with the intention on reselling.

We are not the company and what we are trying to do on the website is protect the Arme clothing from being bootlegged. You are correct in what you have written and I would like to help rectify the problem.

The folks at ARME are honest people from my dealings with them and I'm sure that this is a large misunderstanding.

I will be removing the shirts from the site tonight. Again I am sorry about this mishap.

Please reply to this email with a manner in which you may be additionally reached. This is something that can be rectified and hope that you and I can solve this issue as well as ARME and you.

Thank you very much.

Sorry if I over stepped... I don't know why this pissed me off so much...

Ivan made the leap that I was the "Injured Party" here and maybe I was unclear in my original e-mail to him. Gator97 ball is in your court. Sorry if I stepped on your toes... BTW this web site is NOT ARME and they will need to be contacted through other chanels. Maybe Ivan can assist you with a vaild contact?

Good to know that some guys out there are dealing straight. Hopefully, it will go as smoothly with the manufacturer (though, unfortunately, I doubt it)

WTF, that sounds like the tone of the email I received as well. I didn't sense any hostility or unwillingness to do the right thing on Ivan's part. Sounds like he's the guy stuck in the middle.

Sounds like things should be moving in the right direction.
