Please help. I can only find info on blade thickness. How thick is the whole thing? Please in millimeters if possible, or a comparison aka as thick as x visa cards...

On my calpier I get .196" with the rivots of both sides taking it to .252"

Or 5mm

That would be about 5 credit card back to back.

Keith, thanks for the quick reply. And thanks for converting, too! I'm just so lazy. BTW it is 5 mm

I don't want to spend the time reading the whole discard list thread. Was surprised so many who'd posted before me recommended losing the Card. Is it in any danger of being "retired"?

It's definitly on top of my list. It's not the kife I want the most but it's affordable.

And after I discovered BF my wallet is so empty I can even fit in a 5mm card

Sal, saw your sharpmaker vid yesterday. I was really impressed. That's way more than just a manual. I learned quite a bit. Keep up the good work!!!

Hi Assassin & Sifu. Welcome to the Spyderco forum.

Hi Bugs. Everything is in danger of being retired at some time. Even you and me.

sal

i absoloutely LOVE my spydercard. i think it is one of the most ingenious folders ever, and ahs the sharpest edge i have ever seen on a knife, other than a scalpel or lancette at the Dr.'s office. i carry mine every where, unobtrusive, no raised eyebrows at work. i think i may get a second one just because it is SO COOOOOL! can u tell i LOVE mine? LOL

thanks for making such ingenious and wonderful items Sal!

I just hope it´s not "retirement" like in Bladerunner...

My mind may not be sharp, but my knife is.

The Truth is out there. Go out once in a while and look for it.

Don´t let my Spyder bite you.

Always try to keep your mind sharper than your knife.

Aught to get my second hand one any day from a fellow Formite! Looking forward to it!

Here's another Spydercard fan. The more I handle mine, the more I like it.
If it ever gets "retired", I hope I'll know in advance, cause I'll buy me a couple more.

It is one of those knives that I really want, but just a bit later. If I seriously thought it was going bye-bye, would buy one quickly.

I was already pushed out into the lower 40. Felt way too early to me.

It certainly appears that the card knife is a genre that is increasing in popularity, rather than diminishing, but again, was surprised about how many votes for discontinuing it I saw. Am hopeful sales records will negate such votes, frankly.

Everyday I have to decide what knives I want
to carry except the spydercard. It's light,
small and doesn't scare the people around
me when I open it. Get one soon.
