How thick is the Spydercard?

I haven't thought about that- but I really never leave home without it...it's in my wallet - behind the CC - and carrying so many folders on my person as it is - never really get to use it...I just love the sense of having it for any last ditch scenario...

Love that knife

It could take a reduction in weight.

I would like to suggest relief cutting the blade like the R or better yet the Q with the bug logo. Doing the same to the frame as much as is practical would seem like a worthwhile effort in a knife to be carried unobtrusively in one's wallet.

My spydercard arrived today and the weight was surprising. I guess I've been carrying too many titanium and g10 handled knives lately.

Anyway, I found an unexpected value in the card within the first minute of possession. My wallet is one of those 'credit card only' carriers, just two folded envelopes large enough to hold about 5 credit cards each. I carry a driver registration card, insurance card, gun ownership card, three credit cards, and two grocery store discount cards. But I can never carry the wallet in my hip pocket because my sitting weight bends the cards and the thermoset plastic tends to deform. But, the SpyderCard changes all that. It certainly will not bend and it is just the thing for protecting my other cards on days like today when shirt pocket carry is impossible (no pockets in many of my shirts).

So when Spyderco redesigns this to shed half or more of the weight) I hope they keep the resistance to bending.

By the way, it'll probably get lots more use as a knife than my ToolCard ever has. This SpyderCard blade is long enough and the handle is large enough to make it a useful carton slitter, envelope opener, tape cutter, etc.
