It is a great post and did not want to detract from it with my comments.

I want to try to disassemble a Delica and it will come in very handy!

A great post indeed! I just finished up disassembling and cleaning my Delica after I gunked it up a couple years ago and threw it in a drawer (used it for what was definitely the wrong job). Man that lockbar was a #$&%@ and a half but the method described was the trick. Not as easy as a Native, but still fairly simple.

Nice write up. I've changed multiple scales on my Delicas and they can be tricky for sure especially the lockbar and spring. Fun stuff though.
