How To Clean a Belt Cleaner?

I use a belt cleaner for my Work Sharp belts, one of those large rectangular blocks that looks like a giant gummy eraser. It is now getting pretty much covered in gunk from doing its duties.

What is the best way to get the gunk off and keep the "cleaner clean"?

Thanks for any advice.

Andrew

You get a second one, of course, and rub the gunk off the first one. :D

Joking, of course. Ignore the dark colour, it will do its job just fine as-is, no real need to clean it. At least, I've never cleaned mine and they still take the gunk off the belts just fine.

I think you need a belt cleaner cleaner. If that get's dirty, you actually clean it with a old salami sandwich.
