Good evening guys, I recently had my name tarnished due to PayPal screwing me over and a $%^&* member. How can I go about and get this sorted out? I have all the proof and emails from both parties, my bank and from PayPal. I just don't want to tarnish my name cause of someone's impatience. Thanks in advance for any help guys.

Best regards,
Freddy

If by "someone's impatience" you mean holding a blade for you for two weeks (380 shipped and insured for an AK was a damn fine deal I offered you by the way) while your PayPal payment was declined, accepting the fact that PayPal wasn't working for you (although it said echeck declined), agreeing to allow you to send me a money order, and then never hearing back from you after repeatedly emailing you then sure, I'm impatient.

You earned your feedback and I will happily provide copies of the email chain to the admin if they would like proof of your behavior.

If you'd had the stones to say "changed my mind" or "can't afford it" I would have let it slide and it would have been no big deal but you couldn't even provide me the decent respect of that and just ghosted.

That is, indeed, a negative experience.

Open an thread in Tech Support and hopefully Spark will look at it - he's the only one that can modify.

Also, there's this - look at 4 and 5 ;)

SECTION 4 - Rules for Feedback -
  1. All feedback on sales or trades must be kept to the Feedback Forum and/or iTrader. Do not clutter up a sales thread with it.
  2. It is not mandatory to leave feedback, but it is highly recommended. It serves an important purpose sharing your good and bad experiences with the community. If you need help ask us, we can help. There is only so much we can do, we are not able to help with deals that occurred on Facebook, Instagram, eBay or other places.
  3. We will not edit feedback for you unless it's an obvious error (ie negative rating). You can report it using the black triangle button on the iTrader page and be patient.
  4. Retaliatory negative feedback ratings can earn you an infraction. Getting pissed off because a deal didn't go though is no reason to try and ruin someones rep. You are expected to conduct yourself in a mature and responsible manner, failure to do so will result in warnings or infractions as necessary.
  5. If a deal did not happen, there is no iTrader Feedback to leave. Sorry if you were inconvenienced, but life is full of disappointments. As long as you're not out any items or money hasn't changed hands, move along. Consider improving the terms of your sales threads / read the sellers terms carefully in order to avoid this before buying.
Cheers!

EtA I had someone contact me about 3 weeks ago for one knife I was selling and promised (twice) in this time that he'll send the MO. He never sent it and made a few excuses. However, if I was to leave any feedback, I would be up for an infraction, as that's against the rules (4&5). I am thinking about a GB&U thread tho...

That someone deliberately leading you on, I believe deserves an infraction. In my case, PayPal happened to jerk me from my funds. But the shittiest part is me having to wait for them to square me away. It's even worse when someone messes up your rating because of an issue you have no control over. Anyhow, thanks for the support and sound advice. I really appreciate this.

I don't know that (yet) - and, as no item or money changed hands, I can't leave any feedback anyways... The infractions are given by Moderators, not members. We can only bring up potential issues, here, in GBU...
I'll prob just take it as a negative experience, put that person on Ignore and sell the knife to someone else...

Cheers!

So were you still planning on sending me that money order?

If it's against feedback rules then get it removed but let's not act like you didn't just drag me along for two weeks and stop answering emails suddenly.

Again, I have the full email chain I'm happy to share.

You see that's where I don't see your point In all of this. I never changed my mind in purchasing the blade from you and I definitely have and had the funds to buy the blade from you. My gripe was having PayPal take my money from my bank account and you not receiving any funds due to the Echeck clearing in 3-5 days. After waiting 2 weeks for the money to get back, I did offer to send a money order but decided against it since PayPal and Chase had already deducted the money from my account and would not give me a definitive answer on when I would be receiving my money.

My stones are screwed on straight buddy... Trust me. I have no problems telling you that I've changed my mind. That was not the case, I just don't find the need to send money twice for something I'm going to be receiving once. I have no issues whatsoever buying something that I want. I sent $2k to Busse on the recent Ganzaa and just recently sent a $1k money order last week for another blade. Believe me when I say money is not the issue... So I'll reiterate this for you one more time, I decided not to send money YOUR WAY TWICE(once thru PayPal and another thru USPS Money Order). PayPal still has not reimbursed me for the $385 + overdraft fees. My life doesn't revolve around you. I let you know ahead of time that I was in the process of moving. I had to get my priorities straight before anything. So since I have to screw my stones on, i hope you can do the same and let your ovaries drop. I really didn't want to get into a pissing contest with you so I'll just leave it up to the mods. I've wasted enough time on someone that has clearly violated the rules.

That's actually the best thing to do. That ignore button seems mighty handy right about now.

Cheers brother

The gripe is you offered to send a money order and then *stopped answering*.

You had no guts to just say "I changed my mind." Period. You never said it. Ever. Get real. I have the email chain.

And I've gotten PMs from other people saying you had deals with them fall through too, same sort of thing. you're a repeat offender and won't 'last long here.

The problem isn't you changed your mind. It's that you let it drag out two weeks and decided not to answer any more emails after I held it for you on good faith of you having "paypal problems" (you didn't have the cash, period, as paypal declined the check).

I was super willing to work with you, listened to all your statements about why you were having issues and was completely polite and then you literally just stopped answering emails. *That* is why you don't have the stones.

I'm also not sure how saying ovaries is an insult? Are women somehow lesser than men? What a douche.

Other PM's from board members saying that I have a history of doing this is a load of B.S.! I've never had this issue anywhere! Stop trying to slander my name with this garbage. You keep trying to assault me with this nonsense. Show the emails! I have the exact same emails and the emails from my bank account and PayPal taking money twice. I tried to get this sorted out without having to point fingers. You madam are what I call a lil !@#%*. My wife doesn't even act the way you do. And she's a woman! I've not once attacked you throughout this whole discrepancy. Even after you gave me the negative review. All I did was try and get my point across without pointing any fingers. Your intentions are to try and drag my name thru the mud cause I didn't respond to you as fast as you wanted me to... Your impatience is what led to all of this. Once you emailed me that you sold the blade I had no other need to contact you anymore. You were just so sour that it took you a week to go ahead and leave me negative feedback. I guess the fact that I kept purchasing a few blades every week from Busse and posted about that pushed you over the edge.... Get a life!

Everyone can read this thread and neither one of you are helping yourselves with this bickering. I for one might have reservations dealing with either of you at this point so why not handle this as adults who have a dispute where the only loss was a little pride. Don't blow up both your reputations over one misunderstanding.

You are absolutely correct. I just don't find the need to drag someone's name thru the mud for a PayPal discrepancy... My reason to make this thread was to try and contact a mod to review the facts. I should have never received negative feedback when my money is still in limbo.

I will happily provide "everyone" the email chain and let them decide for themselves. My feedback speaks for itself.

I would not have commented a single time if I hadn't been referred to as a "(expletive) member."

Then he proceeds to gloat about the ignore button and play the high road. It's typical passive aggressive bullshit.

There's no need for either of you to carry on with this public display. Everyone can see where this went wrong without having to read the email chain.
The seller was insulted that despite their patience they did not receive responses in a timely manner and unfairly, but understandably, decided to leave negative feedback, inadvertently violating feedback rules #4 and #5. There was no fraud, theft or abuse here. Both buyers and sellers reserve the right to abort a deal at anytime before goods and money have been exchanged with no consequences to their Exchange reputation.

Then fine, I inadvertently violated feedback rules. Whatever, remove the feedback. Truth of the matter still stands and as long as people want to go publicly cursing me, I will respond. Period. Full stop.

Yeah I definitely got a PM from someone saying you dropped the ball on a deal with them as well; same thing, just stopped responding. Out of respect for them I won't reveal who it was.

I was patient for over two weeks waiting for you to respond. Not sure how that's impatience.

And it took me a week because I was giving you benefit of the doubt that you'd man up and actually respond to an email. It's all good though, you're just gonna keep cursing and raging out. True colors showing here.

I'm definitely done with this though, other posters are right in that it doesn't do any credit to me continuing it. Peace.
