How to do "hyper links"

I was wondering how to do a hot link. You know, when someone writes " you can see it here.

Still trying to learn posting tricks. Thanks for any help.

You are using the wrong term for what you want to do.

"Hotlinking" is a term referring to when a web page of one website owner is direct linking to the images or other multimedia files on the web host of another website owner (usually without permission, thus stealing bandwidth).

Hotlinking is against the rules here at BF. please see this FAQ entry:

What you want to do is this:

"Hyperlinking" is a link from a hypertext file to another location or file; typically activated by clicking on a highlighted word or icon at a particular location.

Sorry had to put this in two posts to defeat the code,so you can see what i'm doing.

Behind that last bracket you put the name you want it to be.
and then end with [/URL]

hit quote and look closely at my first post and you will see how its all put together
