I have a paragon km 14 that I would like to make my own element for, Does anyone know how to figure the length of wire needed? Thanks for any help.

You need to know the resistance needed for you oven by using R = V/I = P/I^2 = V^2/P depending on which of the two P, I, or V you know, or by using a known R value for your coil. Then divide R by resistance per foot of your wire, which depends on gauge, and that gives you your length.

Length, wire diameter, Voltage and power are all related.

Best thing to do is search for the "Kanthal Handbook" and work through the calculations. Kanthal A1 is the most-used element material for HT ovens.

If it gives you a headache, it's likely to be better to buy one ready-made.
