How to fix blade play/stiff action on CQI Military. (cross post from other forum)

Thanks for chiming in man. I'm curious, is your stop pin proud on both sides of the knife? Meaning can you feel it sticking out of the liners on both sides?

Thanks. :)

Yes

My S110V Milli came perfectly tuned from the factory :). I took a heavy fall on it and it was still functional but became off centred and quite difficult to open, going from free dropping to not moving without a good amount of pressure, it was the stop pin, as it's tightly press fit, having all my weight fall on the knife pressed the scales together at that point and stayed set, I lightly pried it open with a cloth covered screwdriver and it's back to perfectly centred with a smooth, free dropping blade. This may be a simple solution for others with similar issues.

I appreciate the CQI improvements and wouldn't hesitate to buy another knowing how simple it is to adjust to my liking .

Good thread here, inspired some other people to fix their problems with the new military.
Link to another thread in my country, where there are some extra pics, inspired by the good video presented here.
He said there was no loctite on his though.
AwayFromMySpydieHole, you should work at Spyderco he? :D

Oh good, I'm glad it could help someone!

He did a great job of showing how the washers don't sit flat on the blade on the knives with the issue. I didn't show that very well in the video at all.
