How to fix lanyard hole on Para-Millie

Hey all,
When I first got my para military from spyderco, I noticed that the steel liner that goes through the lanyard hole isn't flush with the G10 handle. It is recessed a bit on one side and protrudes just a tad on the other. I never did anything about it, but the more I think about it the more it bothers me. Does anyone know if it would be OK to just tap it back through with a dowel or rubber mallet to make it flush with the handle on both sides? I really don't want to bother Spyderco with something this minimal or go to the trouble of shipping the knife. Suggestions?

Thanks,
Jon

Use a wooden dowel, trim it to a taper, to just fit (partly) into the tube, with the remainder larger than the tube. Then put a LITTLE super glue on the exterior of the tube and tap her home.

My Para and Millies are just like you describe. Thought it was unusual when I got my first Military, but then I picked up a Para, same thing, bought another Millie, same thing. I think it is normal and nothing to worry about.
