How to "flush" a knife

I sharpened my Leek today with my Lansky, and some of the oil-bourne junk got into the pivot. Now that silky smooth assisted open doesn't work. It barely opens halfway no matter how hard I try.

I know there is a way to flush that crap out of there, but I don't know it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

First I'd try rinsing it under really hot water. This will take off a fair amount of oil and if the waters hot enough it'll dry quickly. Then maybe try hot water mixed with a strong dish soap. Then some kind of solvent: acetone, alcohol or whatnot. If none of the above work then you have to take it apart and clean/re-lube it I guess. Personally I hate putting knives back together and avoid disassembly at all costs.
