That last post of Wet's got my attention too! Fresh, hand rolled cigars for $1 or less? :eek: Can I get in on this deal too? I like the Coronas and Lonsdales, about 5.5-6.5" x 42. ;)
 
I just thought what would happen if I ever sent some of that alcohol filled German candy to the shop!! That would probably close the place down for a couple of days!:D :D

Ok here's the scoop on the cigars. AC (after Castro) the tobacco growers smuggled the Cuban seeds out to the Dominican,PR and a few other islands. Some of the rollers made it to Miami and set up on Calle Ocho. (SW 8 St) Anyway there are no 'name' brands like you mentioned. There ARE local name brands. A lot named after babys.:confused: They are usually rolled and consumed within a week. No special packaging is provided like boxes,glass tubes humidors etc. They are in cellophane,but not sealed and come in bunches(?) of 25. This is sorta like a large paper cup with whatever logo on it. A guy I used to work withs cousin was a roller and I got mine for about $14/25. Of course this depends on the size and this wasn't discounted,just saved me a trip to the bodega.
Tell you what I'll do if anyone is interested. Let me figure out what the shipping will be (I guess around $5 or so for priority). How much an assortment of whatever size(s) you are interested in,and you can check out the different flavors. Some are mild,some are stronger even in the same size. Prices run from about $.35 for the smaller ones to no more than $1.50 for the 10" monsters. E/mail me if you are interested. There is a 'Baby' shops near work Baby flowers,Baby Supermarket and Baby coffee (Cuban coffee) all owned by the same folks. (Told ya they love baby) Hell if ya buy 50 cigars I'll send a Cuban to deliever em.:D :D We got plenty. Let me know.

Jerry,yeah keep your eyes peeled,it's got fragile in big letters all over it. The only mixer allowed is milk. Thats called a Rhum ball. I know it sounds :barf: but my wife loves them. (So do a lot of islanders) Go figure.
