i agree w/ the bleach suggestion, just don't know what dilution ratio to suggest.
in my time i have run up against some pretty nasty smelling objects (no lewd comments please!) such as garbage cans w/ rotting chicken, etc., and the only thing that absolutely would kill it is bleach... i guarantee you it will work, just don't overdo it, it's some pretty strong stuff undiluted.
