that's a good question I'd like to hear the answer. I'd imagine you would have to curve the blade handle up and toward you as you got closer to the tip. but you also might need a narrow belt (or wheel).
I wonder if you could use the slack section of the belt with a flexible belt. that seems would kind of limit you to a convex grind though.
Here is one I made with a similar blade. I ground it with a 2" X 72" belt grinder using the edge of the belt and I curved the blade up to keep the edge at a 90 degree angle to the edge of my sanding belt.
