How to grind a karambit style blade?

I mean one of those clay like blades.

I tried to grind on the wheel's edge, but the result was less than satisfactory.:rolleyes:
Any tip appreciated.
 
that's a good question I'd like to hear the answer. I'd imagine you would have to curve the blade handle up and toward you as you got closer to the tip. but you also might need a narrow belt (or wheel).

I wonder if you could use the slack section of the belt with a flexible belt. that seems would kind of limit you to a convex grind though.
 
Here is one I made with a similar blade. I ground it with a 2" X 72" belt grinder using the edge of the belt and I curved the blade up to keep the edge at a 90 degree angle to the edge of my sanding belt.

In the end, it seems it's just a matter of being skilled enough... and you are way more skilled than me... :p
