How to hold thin stuff to the disk sander?

I use that same hand vise for all sorts of things. It will hold a folder blade to flatten the tang or a bolster to do the same. They are pretty good tools. On things like scales, I often just use a strip if Duct or Gorilla tape folded in a "T" like shown.

That was a nasty one. It won't make you feel better but I have done a lot worse. I was pushing some hard when my thumb made cotact with a moving 60 grit. I ended up taking some of the bone off. Frank
 
Tried the tape thing. Not with gorilla tape yet but painters tape and it works great!:thumbup:
