I've been searching all over the net and have yet to find a "recipe" for HTing 52100, only info on thermocycling/normalizing, but not the full process with included temperatures. I'm really want to buy some (from Aldo) and was wondering if anybody can chime in here or post links to any good links with good simple HT methods. I'll be using my propane forge fyi. Thanks!

If you can control temps....I use 1550 for about 10 minutes, quench in oil, temper blade at 375 and springs to 800. I only make slipoints so a large fixed blade may be a bit different but not much. Perhaps temper at 400 or 425 for a bit more forgiving edge.

I think Ed Fowler uses a method that might be to your liking.

hah, man I feel retarded. I'm so used to only using google for searching to find links to all the forums that for some reason I forget to start at the sourse. I make sure ta do that before I ask a question next time. Sorry bout that guys,, annd thank you :)
